TeamBookTwo… to Timbuktu!

Less Than 10 Weeks To Go!

On Saturday, the 16th of October a weird and wonderfull realisation came to me… there were only 10 weeks left before departure!

So much has happened since the last post, much more than I can fit in a rushed post typed on my phone! The highlights have been:
* The aquisition of a new team-member, Tim! I need to upload a picture of him, so that the world can see him too… (not to mention add stickers to the car)
* Changing one wheel on the car! I’ve started fitting the wheels from W124 Works, only to find that I’m having trouble removing one of the old rims from the car as it’s binding to the hub… Eventually I’ll change the other three…
* Received the new viscous coupling… now I need to find time to change the old one out!
* Changed the air filter; now only the oil, coolant, fuel filter and other bits and bobs to go!

We’ve also hit a minor speed bump, whereby Mali seems to have decided to charge people to enter the country… and by charge, I don’t mean the usual br-ehm, fees – but upwards of four-figures… A solution will need to be found… maybe at the border, but one is needed!

Also, we seem to not have enough time to do the full Mauritannia-Senegal-Gambia-Senegal-Mali detour. I need to speak to the rest of the team about this, and get a calendar… but hey… the plan wont fully develop until we hit the desert, border or something very solid…

Anyhow, Michele out for now… (and it’s more like 9.5 weeks left!)
